Content Section Enable/Disable Option

Would be nice to have the option to disable/enable a content section. I suppose it could also be useful to have expiration date for content that is tied to an event.
I have a client that runs events and I use content sections throughout the site. But when that content is no longer relevant, I would have to go to each page to change it.
Would be easier if I could just disable it in a single place.

Code Snippet & Content Sections - Enable Disable
Martin Sanderson
We'd like to see a toggle in the UI added to Code Snippet and Content Sections.
For now we can add something like the word “DISABLE” in name for now, liquid if contains check on output on the page.
It would be nice to not have to do this workaround though.

We used content section on BC for Covid communication, but we sometime need to enable or disable it.

Disabling a section based on a expiration date would be great. I often need to display a notice that needs to go away on a certain date. I suppose one way to do this is to use a WebApp, but sometimes it's just simpler to add some criteria to a section.

Matt Jones I would second this request. Specifically, the ability to Enable/Disable a Content Section (I think that's what Daniel is referring to here). And also the ability to schedule a content section to be live or expire by date (like in a web app item).

Hi Daniel,
Please could you add a little bit more information about what this would look like?
Have you got a specific use case in mind?

Matt Jones: In BC when you use the "Content Holders" you can unable it. We use it for exemple for Pop Up or else and we can desactivate it or re-activated as needed.

No news about that option ? Because of covid regulation change I have to add a pop up to all my sites... Any good ideas ?

Daniel Depaz: You can use a WebApp which has Enable/Disable built in. Or you can wrap the section in Liquid to turn it on or off.

Matt Walter: Thanks, Vidushi found a way to do it.
